Coordinating processes and understanding responsibilities

Across seven modules, Course 2 explores the language of DevOps, quality assurance and cybersecurity. The focus is on how teams organise work, report progress, test software and respond to online threats.

Follow email updates, testing plans and conversations about collaboration, automation and vulnerabilities. Reading and listening activities connect everyday operational tasks with the communication needed to keep work moving and people informed.

Build vocabulary around teamwork and testing with words such as proactive, hurdle and diligence, alongside terms such as automate, phishing and threat. These examples help you recognise language used to describe progress, obstacles and online safety.

Language practice includes generic and impersonal pronouns, prepositions of time and place, and adverbs of frequency and manner. Modal verbs for necessity and obligation help you understand responsibilities in the past, present and future.
